This 9/8 time jig is taken from Francis O'Neill's collection The Dance Music of Ireland, published in Chicago in 1907. The tune probably descended from an older one, known in England and Scotland as “Andrew Carey”.
Sitting right at the heart of Ireland's lush midlands, County Tipperary is quite well known for its rolling hills, valleys, and majestic mountain ranges.
